Cookie Policy

Effective: 2026-05-14 Last updated: 2026-05-14 Version: 1.0

Not yet ready to publish. This policy cannot be relied on until Score is incorporated as a legal entity (docs/backlogs/legal.md row LEG-0010). Separately: as of the effective date the marketing site sets only strictly-necessary cookies (Next.js build identifiers, locale preference) and no analytics or third-party tracking. If we add an analytics or marketing tool later, this policy and the cookie banner must be updated before the tool ships. See LEG-0004.

1. What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how Score uses cookies and similar technologies on the marketing website at score-corp.com. It supplements the Privacy Policy at /privacy and forms part of our compliance with:

  • The UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), in particular Regulation 6 (consent for storage of, or access to, information stored on a user's device).
  • The EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) as implemented in the law of each EEA member state.
  • The CCPA / CPRA in California, in respect of the use of cookies to share personal information.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies are used to remember information about you, your preferences, and your activity. Similar technologies (pixels, web beacons, local storage, session storage, fingerprinting) work in comparable ways and we cover them here too.

3. The categories we use

We classify cookies into four categories. Only strictly necessary cookies are set without your consent.

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies

Required to operate the website. You cannot opt out of these.

NamePurposeSet byDuration
__next_hmr_refresh_*Operational, used by Next.js during development; not present in productionScore (development only)Session
Locale preferenceRemembers your language preference if you change it on the siteScore1 year

3.2 Functional cookies

Used to remember choices you make to give you a better experience. Set only with your consent.

None at present.

3.3 Analytics cookies

Used to measure how the site is used so we can improve it. Set only with your consent.

None at present. If we add an analytics tool in the future (for example to count page views or measure conversion on the pricing page), we will update this section before the tool ships and present a consent banner.

3.4 Marketing and advertising cookies

Used to deliver advertising or to measure the performance of advertising. Set only with your consent.

None at present. Score does not currently engage in cross-context behavioural advertising. If this changes we will update this section and present a consent banner before any such cookie is set.

4. Your choices

You can control cookies in the following ways:

  • Consent banner. If you are visiting from a jurisdiction that requires consent for non-essential cookies (UK, EEA, Switzerland, others), we will present a cookie consent banner before any non-essential cookie is set. Your choice is recorded for 12 months, after which we will ask again. Today the banner is not presented because the site sets only strictly-necessary cookies.
  • Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. See aboutcookies.org for instructions.
  • Global Privacy Control. We honour the GPC signal sent by your browser. Where GPC is detected, we treat the request as an opt-out of any non-essential cookie that may otherwise be set, and as an opt-out of any sale or sharing under CCPA.
  • Do-Not-Track. A uniform technical standard for DNT has not been finalised. We honour GPC instead.

5. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add, change, or remove a cookie or similar technology. The effective date at the top tells you when the current version came into force. Material changes will be notified by an in-product banner.
